I am pretty excited about getting this product.  I love my coffee and have gotten used to getting freshly ground beans for my morning brew.  Well when I am traveling I generally have to rough it and use ground coffee from a bag or sometimes ~shudder~ instant 3-in-1 tubes.

I thought that I might have been missing the top that secures the handle to the grinder when I put the grinder together for the first time.  There is not a top bolt as the handle fits on securely and does not wobble or come off when grinding.  I like this feature as it makes packing the grinder compact and you will not lose any small parts.  You can adjust the grinder size so you can get a smaller espresso grind or larger drip grind by adjusting the base of the grinding part.  To use the grinder you simply put the two tube parts together and pour in your beans.  Put the grinder lid on top and then place the handle on the top.  You hold the tube with one hand and grind by turning the handle.  Trust me, the first time you use this it may feel awkward, but you will be a pro by the second time you use this Brillante Manual Coffee Grinder!  I do find this to be a bit of work.  I am not sure if you want to grind beans for 8 cups of coffee on a daily basis.  But for a small pot of coffee this is the perfect little kitchen tool.  You can purchase this coffee grinder HERE.  I also like that you can put the parts in a ziplock baggie for easy storage and travel.
Well thank you for reading and have a great day!

  • CAN I ADJUST THE GRIND SIZE? - Yes, the grinder adjusts quickly and easily to grind for multiple brewing methods such as: espresso, pour over, french press/plunger, percolator or Turkish.
  • HOW FAST DOES IT GRIND? - That depends on the person grinding (of course!) however you can expect to grind about 38 grams of coffee to pour over level fineness in 1 min 20 sec. Stated by approximate volume that is about 6 tablespoons of whole beans ground in 1 min 20 sec (enough to serve 2 people)
  • IS IT LOUD? - No, it's really quite tame. You'll find it MUCH quieter than grinding with an electric grinder and it's even better than some of the other popular manual grinders.
  • IS IT HARD TO CRANK? - Actually it's pretty easy. The grinder is slim for easy gripping and the crank handle is long enough to give you good leverage for a smooth and easy grind. Some of the difficulty depends on your coffee beans but the grinder does it's part to make things go smoothly.
