+LIFEGUARD MINI 1 PORTABLE CHARGER Review

I have been wanting to try out a portable phone charger for a while.  Ever since I started traveling with my smart phone many years ago I have wanted to be able to spend long layovers in airports without having to be tethered to an outlet on a random wall or seat in the airport.  Ugh,  every time I remember that I need to get a charger so I can charge on the go.  

When I received this charger I was happy by how small this charger is.  It is about the length of a pack of lifesavers and the thickness of a Rolo(I'm hungry) roll.  Maybe 3/4" thick.  This charger comes with a micro USB and an Apple charger.  I tried the cord on my friend's iPhone and the cord does register and it does not say unregistered.  So that was a great first start to this Lifeguard portable charger.  

I was able to easily charge up this charger from my computer.  The little light turned off when it was ready.   It took about 2 hours to charge the charger fully.  I was excited to try it out the first time so I plugged it in and started charging from a 20% battery.  Okay when the light turned off at 65%(that means it is finished charging) I realized my mistake.  I had been using the phone while charging.  So I tried again the next day.  My phone was at 15% and I was able to get the charge up to 85% before the charger finished charging.  Still I tried several more times and I was not able to get a charge higher than 85%.  Now I am very happy to get that much charge.  It keeps me able to travel and not worry about my phone approaching the scary 30% battery.  But I just wish it was able to charge a bit more.
