Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask = Deep Cleansing + Radiant Glow Review

I received this mud mask and was excited to try it out.  I remember when I was young using mud masks and the immediate clarifying and smoothing effect they gave.  I that this is a lot different from received this mud mask and after cleaning and drying my face put it on.  The directions say to put a medium amount on your face.  When I put my fingers in the pot  I noticed that this is looser than most mus masks.  The consistency is like thick pudding.  Also once I started to put mud on my face the mud color in the pot changed colors and thickness.  I recommend that you stir it up the first time because some settling seems to occur.  The smell has a strong minty earthy aroma.  There is a little bit of grit in the mud but it is not really rough and abrasive.

So halfway through putting the mud mask on myself and Mr Man(he's a trooper) we noticed a tingling bordering on stinging on the face.  It is a strong menthol mineral smell that really does not go away while it is on.

After about 15 minutes we went in to wash the mud off.  It took a while to get the mud off.  We used a washcloth ans warm water to try to get it off.  Mr. Man ended up just dunking his head under the faucet and washing.  The mud does not dry completely so using a washcloth and wiping in a circular motion is pretty much the best way to remove the mask.  We followed with a full moisture regimen as usual.  I have Mr Man trained to use serums, moisturizers, and eye creams.  He now wants to do them all.  Kinda funny if you can visualize a very tall and very strong man with a beauty regimen.

Well afterwards I found that my face is smoother but still a bit warm an hour afterwards.  Poor Mr Man though.  His face was still a bit red and blotchy after a few hours.  He will not be trying another mud mask for a while.
